Edwin Jagger, a Sheffield-based manufacturing company, may be less than forty years old, but our story has been centuries in the making. Records of the Sheffield cutlery industry date back to 1794, when knife blades were forged using power from five of the city’s seven rivers. In 1912, Sheffield native Harry Brearley discovered Stainless Steel, a significant breakthrough for our industry. Years of experience in the Sheffield cutlery industry led Neil Jagger to create the first Edwin Jagger razor in 1988. This was followed by the introduction of our first shaving brush in 1990, accompanied by a move to a dedicated workshop and employment of artisan craftsmen in 1992.
Inspired by razors of the 1930s, our longest-running range, the Chatsworth Collection, was introduced in 1996. The following year, our new factory opened in Sheffield's historical manufacturing district, and in 2000, the arrival of new CNC computer-controlled turning machines allowed us to produce sleek and modern designs. In 2007, we launched our expertly formulated range of soaps and creams, followed by the introduction of the first Edwin Jagger DE safety razor in 2008. In 2017, Edwin Jagger was appointed as one of only three Gillette Trusted Partners in the world, certifying the authenticity of the parts we use. Two years later, we introduced the 3ONE6 stainless steel razors, crafted in the UK's ‘Steel City’ and representing the pinnacle of Edwin Jagger shaving instruments. In 2020, we replaced animal hair with synthetic fibers in the majority of our shaving brushes, offering a sustainable alternative to badger hair.
The Edwin Jagger DELHE razor features a two-part die-cast razor head that is gentle on the skin yet delivers a close and smooth shave. With its classic closed comb head, chrome plating, and hand-polishing, it is highly regarded in the wet-shaving community. Made from molded plastic, the razor has an elegant design, lightweight handle, and scratch-resistant collar and cap. The long 4" handle provides excellent maneuverability, complemented by the heavy head for professional control. Weighing 2.5oz, the razor offers a reliable, agile shave without the need for added pressure, resulting in fewer cuts, less irritation, and an overall smoother shave.
The Edwin Jagger DELHE razor is eco-friendly, allowing for years of cost-effective and comfortable shaving by simply recycling and replacing the stainless-steel blade. Manufactured using high-quality synthetic materials, this classic razor offers a comfortable, barbershop-quality shave every time. It is a traditional double edge safety razor made to the highest standard in Sheffield, England, and is an ideal gift for both men and women, delivered in smart presentation packaging.
